Abstract

By signing the Agreement on the Establishment and Construction of the Unified Dispatch Centre (JDC) for Train Traffic Management in the Republic of Serbia at the beginning of 2019, conditions were created for the implementation of a project that unites all current projects on the Serbian Railway Infrastructure (IZS) network. Employees of the Serbian Railway Infrastructure mobilized all resources to implement this capital infrastructure project. For the purpose of pre-project research, teams have been assembled whose task is to analyze the existing technical documentation, define how many railways can be included in the center and give suggestions on how this is feasible. Given the specificity and diversity of signaling, telecommunications equipment and specific management of railway traffic, which differs from all other railway administrations, defining the parameters by which new systems will be further developed, built and upgraded and managing this unique project is a great challenge. The subject of research in this paper refers to the consideration of phases, how to optimally include all lines managed by the Serbian Railway Infrastructure through the minimum requirements that must be met for the introduction of JDC.
