Abstract

Early recognition of technical failure and subsequent avoidance of damage to rolling stock offers many advantages for the performance of rail transport: increased security, interference avoidance in traffic, reducing costs by avoiding accidents, extension of time limits and maintenance wagon review, optimization of maintenance of rolling stock. The first step in the process of monitoring and managing the maintenance of the rolling stock is installing monitoring stations for dynamic control of the technical state of the wagon. The second step is the processing and analysis of data collected from the monitoring stations. In this paper we developed a database that enables the storage and analysis of collected data from the measuring station. The following data is stored: ID, date and time of the train, the name of the measuring equipment, number of the track, wagon weight, weight per axle, the weight on each wheel, the flat surface of garland point, detection of overheated bearings, detection of locked brakes, etc. Over the database were generated numerous queries whose results can represent the input parameters in the optimization of maintenance of rolling stock. Also displayed is a complex model to optimize the location of monitoring stations on the railway network based on fuzzy logic and MCD.
