Abstract

The goal of this paper is to present what is the subject of equipment designs for informing and guiding the movement of passengers and to convey experiences and problems in this segment of the railway system, with suggestions on how to solve them. Also, the goal of this paper is to educate and raise the awareness of all actors in the implementation of the equipment, as well as pointing out the importance of providing information to passengers in railway offices and drafting domestic regulations for this area. Valid domestic and European regulations, as well as existing planning, study and technical documentation of the railway infrastructure, are used as a documentation basis for the development of these designs. The design of equipment plays a crucial role in meeting the requirements of the Technical Specifications for Interoperability (TSI PRM), which are mandatory under the Law on the Interoperability of the Railway System. The paper presents the general principles for the installation of equipment, its sizing and technical conditions for the execution of works, and then, as an example, the solutions applied in the Novi Sad railway station in the Novi Sad - Subotica high-speed rail design are presented. The equipment includes blackboards, foils, showcases and signs, as well as signs and plates intended for visually impaired and blind people.
