FORECASTING THE NUMBER OF PASSENGERS IN THE CITY RAILWAY SYSTEM USING FUZZY LOGIC

Abstract

Passenger transport by rail systems in the city at the turn of the century, became a trend in the world, and so the Belgrade got its system in 2010th named BG train. This project was done on the basis of fuzzy logic, and we managed to calculate number of passengers who use this form of transport. Model settings, key parameters for forecasting were defined, and finally a Fuzzy model was developed for forecasting the number of passengers per station of one city railway line. It should be noted that the fuzzy logic is a relatively new way of realization of such projects. Therefore, based on the pre-tests performed, we came to the final model and the results we got are within the required limits of precision.
