Abstract

High availability is a mandatory requirement of design making and implementing modern IT system. Core network is very important element and represents an IT core which all services and applications distribute to users. Considering this technical and technological solution we have taken as an example conceptual design of implementing core network in the Intranet ŽRS. The Project technological solutions are First Hop Redundancy Protocol (HSRP, VVRP, GLBP) and Link Aggregation Protocol (LACP and PAgP) which accompanied with Layer 2 and 3 switches offer full high availability of entire IT system. This ensures that all business and technological processes, organized and managed in modern way, fully based on IT system, run smoothly with no interrupt utilizing all benefits and potentials of the system of this kind.
